|This article is a non-content article; such articles do not have information on the wiki's topic but rather the wiki's rules, regulations etc.|
This wiki has many guidelines that help ensure easy navigation and less cluttering. Following the below guidelines will help make the wiki community a much more neat and organized place. However, these guidelines are not rules and thus should be followed but are not mandatory.
For any character article the order or formation of topics should be:
- Appearances in Story (with subtopics if in multiple games)
- Variations (if any)
- Unlocking (with subtopic if in multiple games)
- Sets (if any)
Prior to any of the subtopics there should be a basic one to two sentence description of the character, explaining which game(s)the character belongs to and any background information.
For set articles the order of topics should be:
Prior to any of the subtopics there should be a sentence or two explaining price, release date, etc.
For location articles the order of formation of topics should be: Appearances in Story (with subtopics if in several games), Sublocations (if any), Notable Residents (subtopics if both villains and heroes). Prior to any subtopic there should be a basic one to two sentence statement regarding the basics of the area and the game(s) it appears in.
For Videogame articles the order of formation of topics should be: Plot, Platforms (subtopics for portable and console devices), Trivia, and optional Gallery.
Any questions regarding format of specialized pages, primarily pages regarding gameplay can be directed to admins.
Wiki Categorical StructureEdit
Unnecessary categorization should not be done on this wiki. If you are curious on adding a new type of category altogether please notify an admin. To add an article to a category, scroll to the bottom of the page and add the respective category.
In addition to this guideline, it is important to understand the different basic categories. Basic categories are groups of categories that all pages must be included into. These categories include:
- LEGO Marvel Superheroes
- LEGO DC Superheroes
- LEGO Marvel Villains
- LEGO DC Villains
- LEGO Marvel Sets
- LEGO DC Sets
- Policies (only for admins)
For neutral characters such as Aunt May, they should be listed as LEGO Marvel Superheroes because they lean towards the heroes side. Likewise, any neutral characters leaning towards the villains side should be listed in LEGO DC/Marvel Villains.
Other categories are known as advanced categories, which help make article suggestions more accurate. Such categories include but are not limited to: Bat Family, Animals, Justice League. Generally these categories refer to teams or groups. Sets do not include these types of categories.
In addition, the Index is an important category that all pages should be added to regardless of nature or content. There are no exceptions to this guideline.
Infoboxes are the newest addition to the wikia that can be added through visual editor where you can select the Infobox template by scrolling through the right grid.
