- Flash's first appearance was in Showcase #4 (1956).
- In LEGO Batman 2: DC Superheroes, LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, and LEGO Dimensions, Flash is voiced by Charlie Schlatter, who voiced the character in various media such as The Batman, Justice League Action, and the Batman Unlimited direct-to-dvd movies.
- Schlatter had also voiced the Wally West version of the character in the Superman: The Animated Series episode "Speed Demons".
- Schlatter also provided the voice for Robin in LEGO Batman 2: DC Superheroes, and LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham.
- In LEGO DC Super-Villains, Flash is voiced by Michael Rosenbaum, who previously voiced the character in the Justice League: Doom animated movie.
- Rosenbaum had also provided the voice for Wally West in the Justice League TV series, the follow-up series Justice League Unlimited, and the Teen Titans TV series.
- In the comics, Barry has a twin brother, who was declared stillborn, but he actually was given to the Thawnes and named Malcolm, who would later become the villain Cobalt Blue.
- Barry is the younger twin.
- Barry and his twin brother were born late, this is likely a reference to a recurring joke in The Flash series that despite being the fastest man alive, Barry is always late.
